N.K. Gaba & Co. was established in 1982 under the leadership of CA. N.K. Gaba, with a clear and abiding mission — to deliver professional accounting and financial services of the highest standard, grounded in ethics, objectivity, and technical excellence. These values have remained the foundation of the firm through every phase of its growth over four decades.

The firm operates from its office in Phagwara, Punjab, and serves a diverse clientele comprising individuals, partnership firms, private limited companies, and public sector undertakings across Punjab and beyond. The Doaba region, with its large Non-Resident Indian population, forms a significant part of our practice — and we have developed specialised expertise in NRI Taxation and Compliance over the years.

Our team of Chartered Accountants brings expertise across GST, Income Tax, Audit and Assurance, NRI Taxation, Service Tax, Project Financing, and Corporate Law. N.K. Gaba & Co. holds the Peer Review Certificate issued by the Peer Review Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Peer Review is a process by which practising CA firms are reviewed by fellow ICAI members to assess compliance with professional standards, quality of practice, and reliability of attestation and financial reporting services. The Certificate is issued by ICAI on the basis of this review. Our firm has continuously held this certification for over 15 years — a reflection of our sustained commitment to professional quality and best practices.

CA. N.K. Gaba is the Founder and Managing Partner of N.K. Gaba & Co., having established the firm in 1982. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he has devoted his professional life to building a practice defined by rigour, integrity, and enduring client relationships.

His core areas of expertise include Statutory and Financial Audits, examination of accounting records, and the preparation and reporting of financial statements. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has served clients across diverse sectors — earning the confidence of businesses and individuals alike through consistent and dependable professional service.

Under his leadership, the firm has grown from a sole practice into a well-established multi-partner firm with a recognised presence in the Doaba region of Punjab, formally acknowledged through the continuous holding of the Peer Review Certificate issued by ICAI.

CA. MOHIT GABA, Partner - GST

B.Com., FCA, DISA(ICAI), Member of ICAI since 2004 | AICA Level 1 Certified | BOS-Approved Faculty, AURA (ICAI) 

CA. Mohit Gaba joined the firm in 2004 and leads its GST, Income Tax, and NRI Services practice. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he brings deep expertise in Tax Compliance, Advisory, and Litigation — representing clients before GST Authorities, Income Tax Authorities, CIT(Appeals), and the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT).

His GST practice covers the complete spectrum — from Registration and Return Filing to complex Litigation involving Input Tax Credit disputes, Show Cause Notice replies, Adjudication proceedings, and Appeals up to the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). He has handled a wide range of GST Litigation matters including ITC mismatch disputes, Rule 86B restrictions, Rule 42/43 reversals, Refund claims, and E-way Bill notices.
